Curbside Consults

The Peninsula Family Advocacy Program can provide information directly to health care providers and answer general legal questions pertaining to housing rights, public benefits, disability rights, special education, employment, family law, domestic violence, and other issues that pediatric patients present. This advice should not be considered legal advice for a particular situation. The provider can refer the patient or patient’s family directly to FAP for specific legal advice.

FAP is not available for medical malpractice questions, ethical or HIPAA questions, or other provider legal issues having to do with patient care. For such questions please contact your Risk Management office or your insurance carrier for guidance. For SHC and LPCH providers, you may contact the Risk Management office at (650) 723-6824.
